Selena Gomez - an international singer and actress - is well-known worldwide. Her involvement has included numerous projects, however her involvement in the Disney show Wizards of Waverly Place has enjoyed the highest success. Selena Marie Gomez, her full title is. Born on July 22 on 1992 in Grand Prairie Texas. Amanda Cornett and Ricardo Gomez were her parents. Her mother was only sixteen at the time Selena arrived. At the age of 9 Selena made her debut on the stage as she portrayed Gianna in Barney and her Friends. She became one of those children who got to play with the most well-known purple anthropomorphic dinosaur. Selena was involved in several episodes of season 7 and 8 between 2001 and 2003. Interesting fact: Demi Lovato, who was part of Barney's Friends at the time as well, worked alongside Selena. After leaving the series Selena Gomez auditioned for several roles on other shows and movies, but she was not particularly successful. After leaving the series, Selena went on to audition for a variety of roles in different movies and programs, but she was not very successful. The role as Emily Grace Garcia was assigned to her in 2006's Brain Zapped, for which she wrote music.
